With the adoption of the Excellent Middle Schools reforms, the middle schools of the Pasadena Unified School District are uniquely poised to educate and engage the kinetic and fascinating 11, 12 and 13-year-olds of our exceptional community.
Because adolescents learn dynamically at this developmental stage, the middle schools of Pasadena Unified offer rigorous academics that are connected with practical learning. Equipped with laboratories, libraries, athletic, and performing arts facilities, our middle schools feature college-like settings structured to meet the changeable academic, social, and emotional needs of our student body. The school day is ordered so that students rotate between classrooms, have a slate of options for electives, and regular interaction with advisors, teachers, and other school staff of the campus community.
